I will also give you some tips and information on how to get there, what to expect, and what to do. Directions

Islamabad to Baboon Valley: 

The journey from Islamabad to Baboon Valley takes approximately 12-14 hours by road.Baboon valley distance form islamabad is around 290 km. You can take a bus or taxi to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, which is around 190 kilometers from Islamabad. From Muzaffarabad, you can either take a public jeep or hire a private 4×4 vehicle to reach Baboon Valley via Keran or Kutton route.

The distance from Muzaffarabad to Baboon Valley is about 100 kilometers, but the road conditions and terrain make it a long and adventurous trip.

Spring (April-May): 

This is the best time to visit Baboon Valley because in spring Baboon valley weather is cool and sunny. The Baboon valley temperature ranges from 10°C to 25°C. The valley may also be more lively and beautiful, as it is a peak tourist destination.

Baboon Valley is a beautiful and untouched valley in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It has many natural attractions and scenic spots to visit. Here are some of the places you can visit in Baboon Valley.

The waterfall:

The Ganja peak: 

Baboon Valley has a majestic peak and is called Ganja peak, and it is about 13200 feet above sea level. The peak is covered with snow and ice, and offers a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. You can trek to the peak from Jabri meadow, which is about 2 hours hike from the valley. The peak is a challenging and rewarding destination for adventure seekers

 

Accommodation Options for Tour

Kutton Jagran Resort: 

It is located near Kundal Shahi waterfall, about 30 kilometers from the valley. The rooms have air conditioning, cable TV, and private bathrooms. The price ranges from 8000 to 10000 PKR per night.

Keran Resort

It is located in Keran village, on the banks of the Neelum river, about 40 kilometers from the valley. The rooms have heating, satellite TV, and attached bathrooms. The price ranges from 6000 to 8000 PKR per night.

Karkah Guest House: 

It is located in Karkah village, on the way to Valley, about 20 kilometers from the valley. The rooms have fans, local TV, and shared bathrooms. The price ranges from 3000 to 5000 PKR per night.

Jabri Behak Campsite: 

It is located in Jabri meadow, at the base of Ganja peak, about 2 kilometers from the valley. The tents have mattresses, blankets, and pillows. The price ranges from 1500 to 2000 PKR per night.

Baboon Lakes Campground: 

It is located near Baboon lake, at the top of Baboon Valley, about 4 kilometers from the valley. The tents have sleeping bags, mats, and lanterns. The price ranges from 2000 to 2500 PKR per night.

Best trails, lakes and campsites

Trails

Karkah to Jabri Behak: 

This is a moderate trail that follows the Karkah stream from Karkah village to Jabri meadow. The trail is about 4 kilometers long and gains about 600 meters in elevation. You can also see the Kundal Shahi waterfall from the trail.

Jabri Behak to Baboon Behak: 

This is a challenging trail that climbs from Jabri meadow to Baboon Valley. The trail is about 2 kilometers long and gains about 800 meters in elevation. The trail is steep and rocky, and requires some scrambling and navigation skills. 

Baboon Rock Trail: 

This is an easy trail that circles around the Baboon rock, a large boulder that stands out in the valley. The trail is about 1 kilometer long and has minimal elevation change. The trail is flat and grassy, and offers a panoramic view of the valley and the lake. 

Lakes

Patlian Lake: 

This is a small and serene lake that lies on the way to Baboon Valley from Karkah village. The lake is about 500 meters long and 200 meters wide.  The lake has clear and blue water, and reflects the sky and the trees. 

Baboon Lakes: 

These are a group of three lakes that are located at the top of Baboon Valley kashmir. The lakes are about 300 meters long and 100 meters wide each. The lakes are fed by the melting snow and glaciers from the Ganja peak. The lakes have turquoise and green water, and contrast with the white and brown mountains. 

Lake Sabrina: 

This is a large and beautiful lake that lies on the way to Baboon Valley from Keran route. The lake is about 1 kilometers wide and 2 kilometer long. The lake is a reservoir that is created by a dam on the Shounter river. The lake has blue and green water, and reflects the clouds and the hills.

Kandor Stadium: 

This is a spacious and flat campsite that is located near Kandor village, on the way to Baboon Valley from Karkah route. The campsite is about 1 kilometer long and 500 meters wide. The campsite has a water source, a fire pit, and a toilet. 

Jabri Behak: 

This is a cozy and secluded campsite that is located in Jabri meadow, at the base of Ganja peak. The campsite is about 500 meters long and 200 meters wide. The campsite has a water source, a fire pit, and a toilet. 

Baboon Lakes Campground: 

This is a scenic and peaceful campsite that is located near Baboon lake, at the top of Baboon Valley kashmir. The campsite is about 300 meters long and 100 meters wide. The campsite has a water source, a fire pit, and a toilet.
